Everyone!!!!

Hey Everyone!!

So Hope all is going well back In America!

Its been crazy hot here lately and Just getting hotter, I am not a big fan of that... we have been busy busy, no time to rest. But sure loving it, this last week we had a marriage and baptism right after we married the couple, it was really awesome, I was here when we started to teach them, it was a little bit of a long Process, but it was so awesome, there were so many Member there to support them, and it was so crazy and stressful, because there was no water or power because there was a brown out. A normal occurrence that happens here, so it was a little on the stressful side, because we were gathering water from every available resource to fill the baptismal font, But we did and it was a awesome day!! The marriage was so awesome, now just one year until they can go to the temple!!  Which is super exciting, then after everything they bore their testimony, and it was so awesome, they are so awesome. I'll add some pictures from the big day.

But let see all this last week, we taught this LA who hadn't been to church in 5 years and me and my companion before had taught her a decent amount of times, then we stopped teaching her because she didn't want to go to church because she was offended I guess. But then some time later, I felt that we should Visit her, and we gave a good lesson about forgiving others and then I told her about this story LDS.Org, it so awesome Here's the link http://www.lds.org/pages/mormon-messages?lang=eng#forgiveness-my-burden-was-made-light  so you should watch it, I mean really watch it not just read the link and think about it ha. But then she came to church and it was so awesome! It was so cool, and I could see that she liked being back, everyone was talking to her, see how she was and all the nice fuzzy stuff that people like to hear from others! So that was so awesome. But wait it gets better, so her Tatay, or dad is less active also, and he normally doesn't want to listen, because in his mind the purpose of missionaries is to teach those that aren't members only. But one day he decided to let us teach him, so we decided to talk about the atonement, and shared with that no one is perfect of course, but because of the atonement we can all become clean and return with our Heavenly Father, and after I said that, he was kind of quiet, looking at the ground, and then he looked up he said, I forgot... I forgot that we are not perfect, and that we have mistakes. Or in other words, he has mistakes, but they can be cleansed through the atonement. And the spirit was so strong, and it was just a great lesson, it hard to explain all the feelings that were there, but it was really awesome.

So this last week has been really busy, but it has been so awesome at time just flies as I get lost in the Lords work!!!

And here on some pics of the stuff of that has happen this last week.

Well I love you all!

Hey You All

So This last week has been really good, we had a Mission tour With Elder Nielson this last week, and that was really cool, and at the end he let everyone ask him whatever question  we wanted and it was cool. He got really deep into some stuff and it was really cool, I learned a lot from.

So right now as I am sitting in this Ghetto computer shop where is super hot, the keyboard
I am using barely works and there are little 12 yr old kids playing their video games yelling in a language I can barely understand.

I realized that THIS IS AWESOME, when else or where else would I get to see the other side of the world and serve the lord.... No where. As hard as it is to be a missionary and to learn to do a million things, its so great. This last couple of week have been hard because I have been getting a lot less lessons than before but I am still seeing blessing in our mission work, we found some new investigators that will be really awesome, and then we have some people that still need a little more preparation tell they are going to be ready. But its okay because I know that the Lord will bless us if we do what he asks. This last week also, I think we gave more Priesthood blessing than ever before! And I was just thinking... we are so blessed because being members we have the power to bless the lives of others! It's truly a blessing!
So I know this is the true church! So great!!!Sorry for this short email, but this keyboard sucks, and it really hard to write!!

Love ya all a tons!!

So I wish I had lots a of time, but I am running short on it because I am not leading the area (So stressful!!) So I have to update a lot of stuff!! Fun stuff... I know, right?

Anyways a lot has happened so I'll tell you really quick while I have time, so I got a new companion, he's a stud, walks fast, works hard! And all that good stuff!! So its been really fun, even though its so hard to lead the area, or in other words, take charge of everything, its been fun, I am learning a lot!! Its been a whole different world, but that's okay- I love it! The other day we were able to teach that young girl I was telling you guys about last week, and she is awesome, she just keeps telling us how she wants to go on a mission, that's really good!!  I have a lot to do! and I am sorry that I haven't written you all back yet!! I will next week, because it will be less busy!!

Sana...!! haha
Well, remember that the church IS true! It's so important for all of us keep moving forward! I know, even when I just want to sit down and take a break, I know I cant we have to move on!!

Magandang araw!eo

Hey Every one! How goes it?

So this last week has been really good! Like all of them of course! I had a chance to go on splits with District leader, because I am new and he has to see how I am doing and what not, it was super good, I had to lead all the lessons and everything so... that was kind of cool, we had 14 Lesson that day! It was good! Not that that is above the average for my area, but it was just way fun to lead all of the lessons! It was probably the most Tagalog I have spoken in one day in my whole mission ha, my brain hurt after that one. But it was way fun, we have some good investigators we've been blessed here in our area!

The other day we visited a recent convert who has a daughter that has been taught all the lessons (before I got to the area) and she just never wanted be baptized, she has been content with her life the way it is, I guess you could say. She went to work somewhere close to Manila this last couple weeks, she returned and I could just tell something was different, she went to church there, which was kind of a shocker. So I after I heard that she was back home, I told here to come to church here! And she kinda smiled, like okay, so then I said, every Sunday!! I told her I would see her there, then we had to leave. She was there, as well as two other family members of hers that are investigators. It was so awesome! So then after church, she told my companion and I, that she talked to Sister Missionaries and youth members, while she was there for work. Then she told us after church she wants to serve a mission (She's 17 almost 18)!! And we are like, wait-what??... you need to get baptised first!! She doesn't want to get baptised yet, she thinks she needs some time, to change her life style, so we haven't taught her yet, but me and my comp were talking and we're thinking we can help her be ready in 1-2 months!! That will be really fun to teach her and help her work toward baptism and a MISSION- it'll be awesome!!

So that's just a little awesome story I wanted to share, I'll keep ya updated! But this Gospel is truly the best and for sure True!! It's so awesome to see first hand that it truly changes peoples lives for the best! I love being out here! At first I was homesick, but now thinking of leaving, even my area alone, makes me Mission sick! I am thankful for all the things that I am learning, thanks for all the support from everyone at home!! You're all so awesome!! So keep up the good work!! Love ya all tons!!!

Magtiis Hanggang Wakas!!

Happy new year FAMILY'n'Friends!

Well the new year is hear, people are setting goals to lose weight, become Millionaires, Find that Special some one and so on... you all know how it goes :) haha. But me, my goals are needless to say a little different than what goals would Normally be! And I don't even really know why! haha jk.

So how is everyone doing!! Hope all is well in Bitter Cold Utah, and Montana for My Pappy!
So this last week has been a really good one, at first it was a little hard, because we had to just sit in our apartment for the new years Because it is so CRAZY here holy cow I have never seen anything like it in my entire life! Just to add few things ha: everyone is drunk, Singing Karaoke! and shooting off huge and illegal fireworks tell like one in the morning! And drive like maniacs! at that is why we had to be home by six!! haha!! Just you can all have small idea of why it was so crazy.

I didn't get much sleep! Definitely different than quiet little Huntsville town!

So this Last week I have really noticed how Important it is to endure to the end, really, there are so many things we have to do to keep are selves active and participating in the church! I know that if we can all do our best in this life, even if it's so hard and seems like you can't do it, it will be so worth it in the next life! Everyday we need to read our scriptures and pray! Go the extra mile, as mom would say, (but not just while your cleaning haha). Endure the trials of this life!

I love you all!! And hope that you continue to endure to the end!!

Thanks so much for the examplse you have been in my life!! I love you tons and I sure I miss you, this two years is Important... I can give families a chance to be together forever!!
I know this work is true! I know that everyone needs this Gospel and that it can change lives!!

Mahal Ko Kayo!! So Talaga Magtiis Hanggang Wakas! Well Kita kits Mamaya Buwaya

Love,

Happy New Year!

Hello Family!

Well this week has been a good one Because I got to see you guys!! (well most of you!)

So this last week has been super fun and different, definitely the hottest Christmas I have ever had in my life and also the most boring haha. But it was still way fun, we were able to go to some of our investigators for Christmas Dinner, and it was anything fancy, but It was good! They were all just sitting around watching us eat, (they had already eaten).  They  were talking to us and it was just way fun.
I mean I can't say much to them, (still learning the language) especially if it's about the gospel. ha. But they are all so nice and such a great family, they will actually be getting married in about two weeks!! It's going to be awesome! We are so excited for them.
Bro Jun the Head of the Household quit drinking and smoking in about 3-4 Days!! It was so awesome!! He's such an awesome guy, always talking with a huge smile on his face!! He'll be a great member!! We really love him and his family tons!

Then the day after Christmas I was the one to teach our District meeting, it was about how Patience Brings Hope.
Ha, that's not Ironic at all, because I am not the most patient person in the world, so I just leaned a lot of things about the importance of having patience, and why Heavenly Father really wants us to have patience!!
What Can I say, Patience is a Virtue! Ha.

Then finally after the District Meeting I was able to get my Christmas Package from Dad!! It was awesome! Made me feel almost like I was just at home! It was this sweet Helicopter thing that is so fun! I know right, most other Missionaries get like candy and what not from their parents, me I get an AWESOME HELICOPTER haha. I love it! Whenever I have time, during lunch or after daily planning I'll fly it around in our house!! Its the best!!

So yesterday was a fun day at Church. Our attendance was 144, not super high, But we had 13 Investigators!! That was awesome!!
At the beginning of church they're like "We don't have a speaker!! Elder Conrow, give a talk!". Ha so that was fun! Went gave a talk off the spot in Tagolish... haha But it was funny... there was this one girl, and every time I would say something in Tagalog she would like, nod her head, like uh huh I understand you ha!

So every time I would look at her for assurance that what I was saying was right! haha It was funny! I don't think anyone understood, because no one really said anything after Sacrament. haha but I did my best!! I mean I only had like 2 minutes to think of what I was going to talk about!! haha

Then later I had to conduct the gospel essentials for the fist time so that was fun! And then my companion and I taught the Doctrine of Christ later in Primary, and that was way fun! and they all understood me, and were yelling answers back to my questions, and it made feel so good!! haha!

So don't read this part mom, you might just want me to leave the Philippines! haha jk
So last night we were walking to appointment (it was dark) and you have to walk on the side of the highways because there are these booths set up everywhere so you just hug to them so you don't get hit, well there was this motorcycle driver who was passing so he was  coming up right where we were walking, but I didn't see him because I was looking at the ground kicking a rock or something. Then all of a sudden, I see some lights in my peripheral vision, so I look up and there is a motor cycle coming right at me and I hurried and moved out of the way and it missed me by a hair!! The person was drunk or something so that was pretty scary!! Yeah this place is crazy, but I love it!

Well love ya all,

love Elder Conrow!

Merry Christmas!

Well the time has already come here I am, in the Philippines for my FIRST Christmas truly away from home!

I pretty much already had all my parties for Christmas, we had one for all the Missionaries here last Wednesday, and that was really awesome! It was fun got to see some of my batch mate from the MTC, who all also are doing horrible in the language, so that's good to know! We learned some awesome things about being more Christlike from the mission president!! He's really an awesome guy!! Then we had our Branch Christmas party!! That was fun and very very different than anything you would see in America, it was way fun... and a lot of less actives showed up, Ironic? Not at all! haha. It was great and everyone is so nice, saying, "eat more... eat", ha it was a lot of fun!

Because we had two parties for Christmas, we hadn't taught much, we weren't going to reach our goals. On Saturday we cranked it out and got 23 LESSONS ha it was crazy hard, but way fun!! They were all really good lessons!!

Missionary work is hard -you want to just cry sometimes! But it's the best!! And I know that I am learning A LOT from it! Even if i don't feel like I am at times!!

I hope you all have a great Christmas, even though I am not there! Enjoy all the great stuff without me, and don't cry too much because I am not there!! haha. Because I know you all will! haha. Well mahal Ko kayo!

Sorry no pictures this week... but next week for sure!! Can't get them off my camera! Well sorry kind of a short boring email, love y'all tons, and Talk to ya soon!! :)

 LOVE, Elder Conrow!!
